Tuesday, July 4, we drove to Gainesville, Texas about a 5-hour drive. Through downtown Dallas was no problem because it was a holiday. We stayed at the campgrounds that are part of the Gainesville Factory Shops. The RV faced the south wall of the shopping center but the price was right. Full hook-ups for $15 a night was a good deal. I was able to see some fireworks off in the distance that night, probably Gainesville city celebration.

Wednesday, July 5, we drove to Wichita again about a 5-hour drive. The wind was blowing pretty hard that day so that adds another dimension to driving the Motor Home. At least Wichita was having a cooler day so the temperature was very nice. I think it was about 85 that day. We stayed at the USI RV Park, which we have stayed at before. Ray and Jennifer and two boys they are grand parenting, came over to see us. I called Stan to see how he was doing. Sue was in Louisville at a Woman's meeting. Carol called Bob and Jackie to see how they were doing. Bob had to return to work but he called back later.
