Outdoor World Campground, Gateway to Cape Cod, Rochester, Massachusetts.
Driving Through New Hampshire to the Cape Cod Area
It was a nice morning in Bethel, Maine. We took our time breaking camp and just enjoyed the morning. Tom did things outside, while I worked on things inside. Jonathan and I, then Tom and Jonathan passed the football for a little while then we hit the road.
We decided not to take the same route that took us up into Maine. We wanted to see some different parts of the country. The GPS mapped out a route south through New Hampshire so we went with it. It was two lane highway most of the way but quaint towns and beautiful fall color. Once we got on interstate highway, it wasn't long and we were headed through Boston. That was pretty cool. We could see Boston Harbor from the highway. The highway took us down through an underground tunnel then on out of the city. It's only about 45 minutes more to the campground so maybe we'll make it back up there sometime this week. We are currently reading about The Boston Tea Party times so it would be neat to be able to do that.
When we arrived at the campground, it was all decorated for Halloween. Jonathan was so excited. When we got out of the RV to take care of checking in, Jonathan ran right over to the blow-up pumpkin with the smiling ghosts jumping out of it. It was fun watching him. We drove the Yukon through the campground scoping out a site. Once we found the right one, we headed over to get the RV and bring it back. Jonathan and I walked up to the check-in office to let them know which one we had chosen and stopped to see the other Halloween and fall decorations on the way back. We're all tired tonight so we're going to call it quits early.
