Train passing the cliffs

Overlooking the St. Croix River

Crossing the River

Engine passing by to connect to other end

Part of Osceola Falls

Saturday, July 30, we hung around the RV. It is a hot day and I got the web site caught up and get some reading done. Sunday we drove the Jeep to Osceola Wisconsin, where the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Railway is located. The train ride was a 90-minute ride along the St. Croix River and back again. We will just about go anywhere to ride a train. We then tried to maneuver around town to see the water falls that the town is built around. The whole downtown district was torn up to do some repaving and rebuild the bridge that connects the north part of town to the south part of town. We were able to see only part of the waterfall because of the construction. Monday was a record hot day, about 100 depending on which TV station you listen to. We again stayed around the RV. Tuesday, August 1 we are leaving Chetek to go to Hayward, Wisconsin, about an hour drive. Hayward is the beginning point of the Good Sam tour of the Great Lakes. We are arriving there two days before the actual beginning, so we can again take another train ride, get the laundry done, shopping and get ready for this 16 day RV tour.
