KLIA is also a relitively new and fairly shiny airport but I thought I was never going to find my way out of the damn place. Arrivals are directed into the main terminal with departing passengers, a perfect place for anyone wanting to do a Tom Hanks and spend the rest of their lives living in an airport. I got off my plane relitively early and being a fast walker I ended up as path-finder, there are signs but they are not particularly definitive, "it's sort of that way mate" signs. I eventually realised that we were in the satelite terminal and had to get the sky-train to the main terminal for passport control and baggage reclaim. the satelite terminal is square, I wonder how many laps I could have done before everyone stopped following me. The main terminal was less confusing, once you found the "baggage claim" sign pointing down-stairs the lower floor was arrivals only rather that a melee of in and out passengers. Getting into KL Sentral was a piece of battenburg on the KL Ekspres and not too pricy. Three quid for a pre-paid teksi and I found my mother waiting for me outside the flat, easy-peasy.
