Dave found the camp visiting spot

a trio of Columbian ground squirrels

my redwood burl is starting to grow

Left Oregon and headed to Idaho. Found a great Passport America park just north of Mountain Home. I think I'm going to be happy with Passport America, wasn't sure to begin with but now am finding more and more good places and it works so good for us to spend less money for a night or two and get the cleaning and laundry done and re-fill and dump the tanks before taking off for "free camping". Fort Running Bear is a great place, the view is wonderful-mountains and a huge reservoir(Anderson reservoir) close enough to see. They are mainly a membership park now but have a great section of pull-thru spots that work good for overnight and big rigs(but we took 2 spots). They had an infestation of Columbian ground squirrels( from the Columbia river) in the park, really no problem but they dig it up like gophers do. We were only staying overnight so I thought they were cute. Oh I also took a picture of my redwood burl that Dave bought for me in California and we planted in a Washington pot. It is really growing and neat, I think as long as I leave all the shoots growing it won't become a tree, at least I hope not as I don't have room for a redwood tree in here. Loven Life..
