Jetty Park, Cape Canaveral, FL
Getting Settled in Jetty Park
We left Thousand Trails Orlando around 9:30 and drove towards Jetty Park on Cape Canaveral. The GPS did as we told it to and avoided toll-ways. This took longer so we were running late. Tom had a meeting at 11:30 so we had to pull off the road so he could get the phone number. He called in and started driving again. We arrived at Jetty Park around noon.
Our campsite is #4. We weren't sure we would be able to stay in it at first because of the tree that was at the back of the site. It literally layed on top of the RV when we were on the pad and we were afraid it would do damage to the paint. They were kind though and came and cut the branch off the tree. The next challenge was to find a hose and the hook up pieces we needed to run the septic hose from the driver's side of the RV over to the passenger's side where the septic hook-up is. We're still working on that one.
Jonathan had a good school day so when Tom was finished with work, we all walked around the campground for a while hoping to run into people from the FOTR group. We walked down by the beach too. That was fun.
Jonathan went to bed around 9:00. Tom and I went through the mail and are trying to catch up on a couple things so we can spend our evenings the next few days visiting with people.
