Fredi and I on the Swing bridge

Fredi in the forest

Clare on the bridge

Abel Tasman National Park

Our stop for the evening before we moved

Today we had torrential rain! Our first stop was at The Buller Gorge Swing Bridge - New Zealands longest swing bridge at 110m. Luckily the rain held off for a while so we paid to walk across it. I cant say I enjoyed it much and tried my best not to look down! It went over the river. I think it was more the fact that Clare was jumping and running making the bridge swing even more!! Across the bridge we then went on a loop walk through the forest which was really nice.

We then carried on up to Marahau near Abel Tasman National Park (very top of the South Island)

The scenery should have looked gorgeous but the sky was really gray and it was still raining! We parked up by the sea but were warned that Park rangers would come along and fine us we we moved to a campsite for the night.
