We made it to Yuma with no problems but the last couple days in Florence were different. Finally got some rain- over 2" where we were but after raining all day Saturday, waking up Sunday to sun, it sure was a surprise to look out our window to the mountains we 4 wheeled in and see snow. Yes SNOW... the news said up to 4' at higher elevations and even up by Phoenix in the superstitions they had a group of boyscouts lost in the snow overnight- all rescued ok. My pictures are from our rv park but our good friends Karen & Joe went out driving and got some really good close ups, so I will add them here too. When we got to Yuma, we stopped at the VFW/BLM land and Dave unloaded the motorscooter and took a drive up to Mittry Lake to see if there were any places we could park. He found a great site, right on the lake but no cell phone service so he had to drive back part way and call me to drive over. When we got back to the site, a motorhome from Canada was already there but they said plenty of room for both so they pulled ahead so their door was on the lake and we pulled in behind and got our door on the lake. This site had 2 jettys about 150' curved out into the lake so we each got our own which the dogs think is their personal running strip. Beautiful weather, good neighbors, lots of ducks- mostly coots and grebes(?) and another great sunset spot.
