After an unexpected trip to an Endodontist in Nashville yesterday for a root canal for Harry we're home and packing for our big trip. Lucky timing for Harry as it would have been a drag to spend our first day in Auckland trying to find a dentist! We're going to spend the night in a Nashville motel so we can be at the airport at 5:00 AM, which will really feel like 4:00 AM since the time is "Springing Forward" for daylight savings at 2:00 AM. When we finally get to Auckland it will be early Monday afternoon here and early Tuesday morning there.
It's me, Harry. I feel fine, excited, but I just walked by a mirror and I look like Bucky Beaver with a cheekfull of acorns (or whatever beavers eat)! Maybe I'll look appropriately pathetic when we hit customs with a veritable pharmacy in our bags- I have meds for pain, sleep, awake, stomach, bowel, blood pressure, cholesterol and thrombosis. Wonder if they have malaria in NZ? We have everything in 2 21" suitcases, a carry-on bag and a Wal-Mart daypack. I'm sitting here in our house on Center Hill Lake, looking out at 41 degrees F., 15 mph wind, and rain, but HEY, WE'RE ON VACATION!!
