Court of Honor - Crossing Over to Boy Scouts

This evening Jonthan's Boy Scout Troop had an Awards Ceremony called Court of Honor. From what we understand, they do this three times a year. The leaders award the boys the badges they have been working on for the past few months or for any other achievements they have accomplished. They had told us they would do Jonathan's Crossing Over Ceremony tonight so we were all excited.

Several of the boys in the troop were honored tonight and I'll talk about those in the captions of the pictures I put up if I remember what they were exactly.

Jonathan's Crossing Over was the last thing done for the evening with the exception of retiring the colors. The older Scouts really did a great job of making it special. The troop gave him everything he needed to make him official. I remember now, one of the boys talking to him outside about how it would go. He told Jonathan that when the night was over, his mom would have a lot of new things to sew on his shirt.

They called Tom and I up to be part of the ceremony as well so we'll get pictures of the event from one of the other parents. Someone did take video of the whole thing with our camera for us though. Just can't put that up on the site as it is too long.
