Just an update on Bob. He did make it out to Washington State to visit his family. He missed his last little 8-passenger flight because it was too far for him to walk, but his son/family drove to Seattle to pick him up so all ended up well (and I had spent days reorganizing his suitcase and agonizing that it wouldn’t fit on that plane). Not the best of times out there – his daughter has been given 2 weeks to 2 months to live. She has been battling cancer for over 10 years and I guess it’s time to take all her wonderful qualities and optimism up to heaven. She’s been such a trooper through all this. Just so thankful Bob was able to recover in time to get out there. They are having a fundraiser for her today but I don’t think she’ll get out of the hospital in time for it. Other than that, life has been good. Bob will be stopping in Spokane on the way home to visit another son/family after going to his granddaughter's college graduation in May. We plan on going to the National Meisser Reunion in Memphis in mid-June and then drive over to Midland, TX to pick up the RV and bring it home. God-willing we'll start another journey in the late fall.
