Celia & Jim's Key Largo to Long Island, Bahamas April-May 2013 travel blog

It's For Sale!

We stopped in George Town for an overnight, fueled up and made it to our final destination, Salt Pond Long Island. 400 miles We where greeted by Neil's friend from Hawaii, Charlie. He and his wife have a great little place on the beach. They had a cookout with a dozen other friends from all over the world. Believe it or not we met a technical cave diver from Figi, (don't worry, this gal is not going in any caves). This is a very small world. She knows our friends from Key Largo. She was their dive master in Figi while they were on their honeymoon.

As for being a small world, my research for yoga and freediving in The Bahamas led us to Long Island. I found Brittany a free-dive yoga instructor who is the grand-daughter of Charlie, Neil's friend! She is also married to a world champion free diver. We hope to meet up with them today.

The picture is of a bed and breakfast, Long Island Breeze! It's for sale. If we every hit natural gas, this may be the place to bag it all! Plenty of room for all of you!

I have not been in the water yet to take pics and you only need to see so many Mahi Mahi's. We rented a car for today to tour the island so I will get pics!
