My beautiful niece, Emily Madeline Zanni, made her grand entrance into the world yesterday morning and the Zanni and Stevens families will never be the same. She weighed in at a healthy 8lbs 4 oz and she is just perfect. Mom and dad are doing well despite the lack of sleep the past 2 nights. We are all just very thankful to have such a wonderful addition to our family and I am already thinking ahead to the adventures that I hope to one day take her on.
I obviously am enjoying being back "home" in Maryland as I have wanted to be here for this special event. I have really gotten to enjoy spending time with family and old friends. Unfortunately, I absolutely hate my contract job here in Baltimore. I have already turned in my resignation and now I am working my last 30 days as required by my contract. It is really too bad...I had hoped that this would have been a good learning experience. So, what next? My old stomping grounds, Johns Hopkins Hospital, is begging for me to come back. I will be starting there in mid-June and plan to stay until August or September, when I hope to get back on the road.
