Yippee Tyo's! travel blog

109 years old...what a beautiful card. Bet she liked getting it...and here...

At 6:30 p.m. - Upper temp - Outside - Lower Temp -...

Okay....I think we truly have dropped into Hell, through no fault of our own. At least I hope so... How do you spell miserable "Joyce and John in Arizona", that is how!!!

Temperatures reached 117 today, and as I type this it is only 91 at 12:09 A.M. Sunday.

The inside of the RV this afternoon was...drum roll....another drum roll...101! That is with both AC's fans, water bowls in front of two fans, wet towels around our necks, two showers of pure cold water...etc, etc. I think you get the picture.

Here is some worldly advice from someone who cannot believe she is NOT in the Sahara Desert...DO NOT buy an RV that is NOT fully insulated, OR, do NOT be in the SW in the summer. Nuff Said!

I did get some respite from the heat as I met Lois for lunch today. We went to the Cheesecake Factory where neither of us had been for quite some time. It was packed. We got a great window table in a booth. Had great food. We decided to have a drink before lunch, so she had a Cosmopolitan and I had a Red Sangria. Both were yummy. Then, because we were not full enough, we split a piece of Caramel Pecan Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake. SUGAR overload! But, delish! Got the bill and we both gasped. Each of our drinks were over $10! Land Sakes, as my gram used to say...ask before ordering. But, they were pretty tasty.

Came home and picked up poor John and Toby and took them for a drive with the air conditioner blasting in the truck. Found a super rich neighborhood and saw some dynamite houses...way, way over our budget, but really cool.

Back home and walked into the furnace. Seriously....like a furnace!

Weather forecast for the next two weeks...over 100 each and every day. Yikes!!!
