NOLA Key West Bahamas Jamaica Cayman Cozumel 2019 travel blog

1/14/19 sea day.

It was a pleasant 59 this morning and got up to 65 degrees by evening.  Off to the gym and then 20,000 plus steps to try to fend off some pounds as the food is hard to resist…  Jim and I did the bean bag toss, with Jim moving on to the 2nd round before being eliminated. There's a new food place, Guy's Pig and Anchor, serving slow cooked pulled pork, smoked beef and smoked, grilled chicken, sausage along with baked beans, slaw, potato salad, and rolls.  It was delicious! In the afternoon we used the hot tub- nice while in it, but not overly hot, and a bit chilly drying off in the breeze. There were kids in the pool this afternoon. We met people from Tupelo, MS who knew our daughter in law! Small world. I went to a Scottish dance class, but it seemed more like square dancing.  We learned the Virginia Reel and one other dance. It was fun! Tonight was formal night. I had 2 lobster tails with shrimp and Jim had Prime rib. Everything was delicious! Tonote there was a dance show, 2 comedy shows and “Dive in movies” on the big screen. We chose the movie, watching Bohemian Rhapsody, with Jim wearing his jacket, and me wrapped up in blankets! It was still 65 degrees but breezy!  They showed Mamma Mia (which I love) afterwards, but too late for us. Hoping they flip them around, showing Mamma Mia first either this week or next!
