The towns covered in this page could not be further apart in description, although just 30 Nm apart. George Town is a large, bureaucratic, expensive collection serving mostly tourists in their boats. Apr 5, 2008 - Long Island Exuma back to George Town Exuma

We got up early and said goodbye to Kenny and Vicky on Cassaway and then set off back to George Town. We had a lovely SAIL...yes, I did say sail. It has been quite awhile since we haven't used the engine to get from point A to point B! It was a beautiful day and the islands are just breathtaking. As we are making the turn back to Virginia (Long Island is our southernmost island), it makes us realize just how special this trip is and how special these islands are. Mar 28, 2008 - Goodbye George Town Hello Thompson Bay Long Island

We are sorry to say goodbye to our old and new friends here in George Town. We had a great time and we are glad we were able to see a few of the Regata Week activities. It is definitely a place where you can be alone if you want to be alone...but if you want activities they can certainly keep you busy! It was fun to catch up with Carol, Rob, Dayla and Daniel on Milano Mist. Dayla gave me a heart shaped sea bean...that was so nice of her.
