Apr 16, 2014 - Have had a lovely time at Treasure Cay

We have spent five days here at Treasure Cay. J&B was here with us until they left on Monday to get to Marsh Harbor where they picked up their daughter and two grandchildren who flew in to spend a week on the boat. We were on anchor until Monday morning when we moved into a slip in the marina. A weather front with 30-40 mph winds in squalls was predicted to stall over the area for a few days. We wanted to be able to enjoy the beach, pool and resort without the dinghy ride in to shore in bad weather. We also did not want to have to worry...

Apr 12, 2014 - We're in the Abacos

We tried to leave for the Abacos on Friday, the 11th. We motored out of the inlet and into the Atlantic and larger waves than we wanted. As we continued to the edge of the Gulf Stream, the waves were only getting bigger and the intervals were too short for a comfortable ride. May 2, 2013 - Marsh Harbor, Treasure Cay, Green Turtle Cay

On 4/25, we go to Treasure Cay for 3 nights. It is 2.5 hrs from MH and a straight run with no shoals, etc to watch for. Weather was outstanding, especially the temperature, as it has been the entire trip. Humidity has also been great for the most part. We make arrangements to get fuel, even though we most likely have enough to get us back home without paying $6.35/gallon, but we topped off anyway to make sure. John inquired where to get fuel and walked over to discuss fueling with the dock master at a marina call Harbor View. He got...

Jan 6, 2009 - Treasure Cay

The top ten beaches in the world, thats where we are.The anchorage here is 360 degree protection as we sit here and wait out the storm coming from Canada. We picked Treasure Cay over Marsh Harbour to wait out the storm because the strong winds come out of the north west north and Marsh harbour is open to the north west. Oh big deal just wind,no rain or any scary stuff although the wind is picking up now. The only white stuff we see is sand! The wind is expected to go up to 40 knots on the ocean. As we sit and watch all of us boats dance from...
