We began our slow and steady drive to Mount Cook and we were blown away by the stunning scenary. We passed Lake Pukaki where we stopped to take in the view of glistening blue lake with the snow covered mountains behind. Once we passed the lake we winded in and out of the snow covered mountains, definitely the most beautiful drive we have ever done. Mar 20, 2013 - Mt Cook

It rained for three days and three nights, getting progressively colder each night. Last night the temperature was just above freezing. I bought a little box of games and we spent the time in the camper playing silly games such as chinese checkers and snakes and ladders. I had not played snakes and ladders since I was a child. Today the sun came out and we drove to Mt Cook National Park.
