Feb 24, 2013 - Mogollon (ghost town)
We woke up this morning to a snow storm. We are at 6000 ft above sea level in Silver City. About 10am the skies seem to clear so we headed out about 50 miles northwest to a gold mine ghost town in the car. Unfortunately the snow reappeared along the route (we have snow tires on). We traveled up to 7500 ft and then descended down a very narrow ,winding snow covered road with no guardrail and a 1000 ft drop off . It's ok Jo is breathing again & even talking to me . Oct 15, 2006 - Chucillo, Winston, Chloride and other ghost towns of NM.
Being such a beautiful day and nothing else to do we decided to have a look around North and Northwest of Truth or Consequences at some of the historical old towns. Included are some pictures we took this morning in the towns we visited. Most of the towns are out in the middle of nowhere, and in very poor repair with the exception of a few buildings in each. I am including some info about each one so you will have an idea of the history surrounding them.
